Found on Napier Lane, here are a few of the famous wild parrots of Telegraph Hill, in San Francisco.

A few years ago for my birthday, Phil bought me the book "The Wild Parrots of Telegraphy Hill", which is an amazing book if you haven't already read it. It's a true story by Mark Bittner, which is inspiring, touching, informative, and uplifting. There's also a movie by the same name, a documentary about Mr. Bittner and his relationship with the parrots, which I highly recommend.

Of course after reading the book and seeing the movie, the idea of experiencing the parrots while in San Francisco was a must. Seeing and hearing them is just wonderful beyond words ~ definitely a big highlight of both of our visits to the area.
