Tree Travels

We all travel the milky way together, trees and men ...
trees are travellers, in the ordinary sense. They make
journeys, not very extensive ones, it is true: but our own
little comes and goes are only little more than
tree-wavings - many of them not so much.

~John Muir, Scribner's Monthly, November 1878

The heart of the holidays

<img src="http://leaf.slpro.com/bugspix/thhrtfthhldys-thumb.jpg"

Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.

~Washington Irving

Taken at Arnold Arboretum last month...

I apologize for my lack of posting & visiting. I have been busy, stressed, sick, and have also had uncooperative weather for photo-taking. We had our first snowstorm of the year this past weekend, but I've been too sick to go out. I am getting better however, and hope to have new photos after the holidays.

I wish everyone a peaceful and happy Christmas, and a joyous and healthy new year!

A Simple Song

God respects me when I work; but God loves me when I sing.

~Rabindranath Tagore

This is a little part of the piece "A Simple Song" by Leonard Bernstein (from "MASS"). I'll be singing this and another piece at a concert tonight at Berklee College of Music. I don't sing often these days, so I was glad for this opportunity.

On another note, you may notice that on the top of each page, there is an option to buy prints, cards or send e-cards. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Lastly, I've created a fan page for "Ladybug's Leaf" on Facebook. You can find it here.
